The Hatch School shifts the experience of high school from transactional to relational by centering connection and context. A problem-based learning approach allows students to make real meaning of their studies.

Traditional grading practices are archaic, can be harmful, and are completely unnecessary. The Hatch School will provide feedback about what students know, understand, and can do - without A-F grades.

Education should not be one-size-fits-all. Students at The Hatch School will have lots of choices about how to navigate their own path through high school, while building consistent relationships with classmates and faculty.
